"La Paix" means "peace" in French and the quote I've painted by John Muir just rolls off the tongue in that language.  It translates to, "Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees."

I've used the Japanese Red Maple that I see outside the window  from my desk as the model for this work.  The leaf impressions and the kinetic leaves are all fashioned from actual leaves from my lovely tree.

The movement was created by a stiff breeze outdoors.

"La Paix"; Mixed media on MDF panel, acrylic paint, aluminum drink cans, wire, ; 24"X36"X 5"; $1200. Sold.

Fine art prints and cards are available here.
