"The Way I See It"
2013; Mixed Media Kinetic Sculpture/Assemblage; 14 x 25 x 4". Repurposed wooden door, mirror, recycled aluminum drink cans, acrylic paint, vintage photo and magazine page, wire. $700
This piece is kinetic with flutter-byes and cherry blossoms waving in the breeze. It's intended to be an interactive work in progress...mementos are to be added as they are discovered. It then truly becomes "the way the viewer/collector sees it." I've given it a lovely start with a poignant photograph of a mother and her children, as well as an advertisement from a 1916 Ladies' Home Journal showing a mother baking bread.
It would be perfect in an entry way where the everyday comings and goings would make the flowers rustle and the flutter-byes dance.
